Dried Hooked Barley

A Special Barley with the short awns curled under into the head to make a hook.  The seed pod head is medium in length has a lot of texture.   The product is harvested when the seeds are firm but not mature thus minimizing shattering of the seed head and the stems are semi-green. This item adds variety and dimension to a design. The Hooked Barley is dried using ambient air with no added preservatives or coloring. This item will retain the same color, appearance, and integrity dried as when fresh for several years particularly when displayed out of direct sunlight.
